Devin is a born-and-bred Washingtonian whose love of dogs began from a very early age. She began working with animals professionally in 2008, starting as a day-care attendant at Happy Paws shortly after it opened. She took a brief sabbatical to work in Yana Cocha, a wildlife rehabilitation center in Ecuador and then returned Happy Paws where she has worked ever since. She has completed training on dog body language and off-leash dog play and graduated from the Pat Miller Peaceable Paws L1 Intern Academy and the Karen Pryor Clicker Training Foundations Training School. She continues learning through ongoing education such as seminars, webinars, and workshops taught by well-known trainers Ken Ramirez, Malena DeMartini and Sue Sternberg.
